First-time setup

Set Up Moogoose

On first opening Moogoose, read and accept the Terms and Conditions to reach the Moogoose Setup screen. Complete the numbered steps in order. Finished steps show a tick.

   Enable Moogoose Keyboard

   Tap Enable Moogoose Keyboard. In Android keyboard settings, find Moogoose and switch it on. Android will show a standard keyboard warning. Tap OK to continue.

   Grant Microphone Access

   Tap Grant Microphone Access, then allow Moogoose to use your microphone. This is needed for Dictate, voice instructions, and Quick Profile Setup.

   Enable Conversation Reading

   This optional feature lets Moogoose understand the conversation visible on your screen and compose a relevant reply. Tap Enable Conversation Reading, then enable Moogoose Context Reader in Android Accessibility settings.

   If Android blocks this setting

   Open Settings → Apps → Moogoose, tap the three-dot menu, and choose Allow restricted settings. Then return to Accessibility settings and enable Moogoose Context Reader.

   Activate Moogoose Keyboard

   Tap Activate Moogoose Keyboard and select Moogoose from the keyboard picker. You can switch back to your usual keyboard at any time using the globe button.

   Create Your Profile

   Choose Quick Profile Setup for the easiest voice-guided setup, or Manual Profile Setup / Edit if you prefer to enter and review each field yourself. A profile is optional, but it helps Moogoose write replies that sound more like you.

Conversation Reading is optional. Moogoose still works without it for dictation and general writing help, but it will not automatically understand the conversation you are replying to.

Balance and activity

Account & Credits

When the approved credit service is active, each eligible Moogoose account receives 15,000 one-time welcome credits. This is equivalent to £1.50 of non-withdrawable Moogoose app credit at 10,000 credits per £1.

The welcome grant is linked to your sign-in identity for the life of that Moogoose account. It is not granted again when you reopen, update, or reinstall the app while that account exists.

Open Manage Moogoose → Account & Credits to view your available balance and credit activity. Google Play purchase options appear there only when purchases are available in your app version.

Welcome, promotional, and purchased credits use one balance and work with the same AI features. Quick Profile uses the same balance. Paid credits do not expire while your Moogoose account remains active.

Google Play shows the price before you buy. Failed, cancelled, safety-blocked, or unusable AI actions do not use credits. A completed action is charged only once, including when a connection fails after the result is recorded.

Unused credits are lost when you delete your Moogoose account. The welcome-credit eligibility claim linked to the account is also deleted. Read Delete your Moogoose account for the full process and retention details.

Everyday use

Using Moogoose

1. Open a conversation. Tap the message field and switch to the Moogoose keyboard if it is not already active.
2. Choose the right voice tool. Use the microphone for exact dictation. Use the Moogoose button when you want help composing a complete reply.
3. Speak your instruction. Tap Moogoose, say something such as “tell them Thursday afternoon is fine,” then tap again when you have finished.
4. Review the draft. Moogoose places the reply in the message field. Listen with Read Aloud, read it, or edit it before sending.
5. Refine when needed. Tap Moogoose again and say “make it shorter,” “more friendly,” or “translate it into Spanish.”
6. Send it yourself. Use the messaging app's normal Send button. Moogoose never sends a message automatically.
