Help with Moogoose

Set up Moogoose, create your personal profile, and learn how to compose replies using your voice.

Moogoose works in supported Android text fields, including messaging, email and social apps. Some apps restrict particular fields.

Keyboard switching

Switch between Moogoose and your regular keyboard

First, enable Moogoose in step one of setup. While a keyboard is open, look for the phone’s keyboard or globe button below the typing keys. Depending on your phone, tapping it switches keyboards or opens a list.

The video shows two Samsung layouts. On one, tap the keyboard icon at the bottom-right. On the other, use the button at the bottom-left; if it shows a microphone, press and hold it to select the keyboard-switching function. Then tap the keyboard icon to choose a keyboard. On the Pixel shown, tap the globe at the bottom-right to switch directly.

The button’s position and availability vary by model, software version and navigation settings. If you cannot find it, search for your exact phone brand and model followed by “keyboard switching button”.

First-time setup

Set Up Moogoose

On first opening Moogoose, read and accept the Terms and Conditions to reach the Moogoose Setup screen. Complete the numbered steps in order. Finished steps show a tick.

Enable Moogoose Keyboard

Tap Enable Moogoose Keyboard. In Android keyboard settings, find Moogoose and switch it on. Android will show a standard keyboard warning. Tap OK to continue.
Grant Microphone Access

Tap Grant Microphone Access, then allow Moogoose to use your microphone. This is needed for Dictate, voice instructions, and Quick Profile Setup.
Enable Conversation Reading

Conversation Reading lets Moogoose use the conversation visible on your screen to help explain messages and compose a relevant reply. To complete full setup, review its disclosure, tap Enable Conversation Reading, then enable Moogoose Context Reader in Android Accessibility settings.

If Android blocks this setting
Open Settings → Apps → Moogoose, tap the three-dot menu, and choose Allow restricted settings. Then return to Accessibility settings and enable Moogoose Context Reader.
Activate Moogoose Keyboard

Tap Activate Moogoose Keyboard and select Moogoose from the keyboard picker. You can switch back to your usual keyboard at any time using the globe button.
Create Your Profile

Choose Quick Profile Setup for the easiest voice-guided setup, or Manual Profile Setup / Edit if you prefer to enter and review each field yourself. A profile is optional, but it helps Moogoose write replies that sound more like you.

You control Conversation Reading. Declining its disclosure leaves full setup incomplete. You can turn Context Reader off later in Android settings; the app then shows Action needed. Dictation still works, but Moogoose cannot read the current conversation from your screen while Context Reader is off.

Personalise your replies

Create or Edit Your Profile

Quick Profile Setup

Tap Quick Profile Setup, then tap the microphone and speak naturally. Moogoose will ask about you, how you communicate, and any personal or business information it should use when composing replies.

If you have a website, say its address aloud when asked. Moogoose can examine relevant public pages and ask you to confirm what it finds. You do not need to prepare perfect answers. Correct anything that is wrong. Moogoose asks for permission before public-business research.

You can leave and resume Quick Profile Setup if you are interrupted. When the session finishes, use Review profile suggestions to check any suggested details. You can accept, edit or reject them. If no changes are needed, your existing profile stays unchanged. To ask another question after Session complete, close the screen and open Quick Profile again. You can also edit individual details in Manual Profile Setup / Edit.

Manual Profile Setup / Edit

Manual setup takes you through your profile one question at a time. You can add or edit your name, personal information, business, role, services, prices, working hours, policies, preferred tone, writing examples, and anything else Moogoose should know.

Type or paste an answer, or use Dictate on the Moogoose keyboard. Tap Next to save the answer. Leaving an optional answer empty clears its saved value. Tap Finish after the final question.

Return here whenever your information, prices, availability, policies, or communication preferences change.

Balance and activity

Account & Credits

When the approved credit service is active, each eligible Moogoose account receives 20,000 one-time welcome credits. This is equivalent to £2.00 of non-withdrawable Moogoose app credit at 10,000 credits per £1.

The welcome grant is linked to your sign-in identity for the life of that Moogoose account. It is not granted again when you reopen, update, or reinstall the app while that account exists.

Open Moogoose settings → Account & Credits to view your available balance and credit activity. Google Play purchase options appear there only when purchases are available in your app version.

Welcome, promotional, and purchased credits use one balance and work with the same AI features. Quick Profile uses the same balance. Paid credits do not expire while your Moogoose account remains active.

Google Play shows the price before you buy. Failed, cancelled, safety-blocked, or unusable AI actions do not use credits. A completed action is charged only once, including when a connection fails after the result is recorded.

Unused credits are lost when you delete your Moogoose account. The welcome-credit eligibility claim linked to the account is also deleted. Read Delete your Moogoose account for the full process and retention details.

Everyday use

Using Moogoose

Open a conversation. Tap the message field and switch to the Moogoose keyboard if it is not already active.
Choose the right voice tool. Use the microphone for exact dictation. Use the Moogoose button when you want help composing a complete reply.
Speak your instruction. Tap Moogoose, say something such as “tell them Thursday afternoon is fine,” then tap again when you have finished.
Review the draft. Moogoose places the reply in the message field. Listen with Read Aloud, read it, or edit it before sending.
Refine when needed. Tap Moogoose again and say “make it shorter,” “more friendly,” or “translate it into Spanish.”
Send it yourself. Use the messaging app's normal Send button. Moogoose never sends a message automatically.

Keyboard Controls

Microphone: Dictates exactly what you say into the current text field.
Moogoose: Composes or refines a complete reply from your spoken instruction.
X: Clears the draft Moogoose placed in the text field.
Speaker: Turns automatic read-aloud on or off.
Eye: Starts or stops conversation reading for the current conversation.
Globe: Switches to another keyboard.
Chevron and settings: Opens read-aloud, profile, privacy, conversation history, and app settings.

Common problems

Troubleshooting

Moogoose is not in my keyboard list

Return to the Moogoose Setup screen and complete Enable Moogoose Keyboard. Then tap a text field, open the keyboard picker, and select Moogoose.

The microphone is not working

Open Android Settings → Apps → Moogoose → Permissions → Microphone and allow microphone access. Then return to the app and try again.

Moogoose cannot understand the conversation

Check that Moogoose Context Reader is enabled and that the eye control is set to read the current conversation. Bring the relevant messages onto the screen, then try your instruction again.

The reply is not quite right

Do not send it yet. Tap Moogoose again and explain the change you want, or edit the draft directly. You always decide what is sent.
