The difference

Can you hear a reply before sending it?

Moogoose can read its draft aloud. When Conversation Reading is enabled, you can also ask about the visible conversation. You retain control of the final message in the app where you are writing.

AI writing assistance

How AI helps with spoken replies

Instead of asking you to dictate every sentence, Moogoose can use AI to compose a draft from a spoken instruction and read it back. With Conversation Reading enabled, you can ask about visible messages first. Android navigation, setup and the final Send action still depend on your device and other apps.

Everyday example

What this could look like

Situation

A message asks whether a proposed time works.

You say

“Tell them yes, two o’clock is good, and thank them.”

Moogoose helps

Moogoose drafts a reply and reads it back. You can request a change, then use the messaging app to send it.

Using the keyboard

How the AI voice keyboard works

  1. Open the conversation

Navigate to the message field using the Android accessibility tools you normally use, then select the Moogoose keyboard.

  2. Speak the instruction

Tap the Moogoose control and say what the reply should mean. Context Reader can help when you have chosen to enable it.

  3. Listen and decide

Hear the draft, ask for a change if needed, and activate Send in the other app when you are satisfied.

What to expect

The details that matter

Read-aloud for review

The speaker control can turn automatic read-aloud on or off. Hearing a draft helps you catch a wrong name or an unwanted phrase before sending.

Working with Android accessibility

TalkBack is Android’s screen reader. Moogoose helps compose text within the app you are using; navigation and the final Send action remain part of that app and your Android setup.

Good to know: We are still improving accessibility across the whole app, including setup. Do not assume the entire process is eyes-free on every phone or with every screen reader configuration.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Can blind people use Moogoose as an Android voice keyboard?

Moogoose supports speaking an instruction and hearing an AI draft. The whole journey, including setup, screen navigation and sending, depends on Android accessibility tools and the app you use.

Can the AI keyboard read incoming messages aloud?

With Conversation Reading enabled, you can ask Moogoose about visible messages or request a summary. Check important details because an AI explanation may miss or misinterpret part of a conversation.

Can I hear my outgoing reply before I send it?

Yes. Moogoose can read a drafted reply aloud, helping you check its wording before using the other app’s Send control.

How does Moogoose work alongside TalkBack?

TalkBack handles Android screen reading and navigation. Moogoose helps compose text in a supported field. Check the interaction on your own phone because a complete TalkBack workflow has not been verified on every device.

Is setting up the keyboard fully eyes-free?

Do not assume that it is. Android keyboard settings and Moogoose setup may require help or accessibility controls, and we are still improving the whole-app experience.

Do I have to dictate every word of a message?

No. Use the AI control to explain what the reply should mean, or use the microphone if you want your exact spoken words entered.

Can AI help me reply to a visible conversation?

If you enable Conversation Reading, Moogoose can use visible messages for context and draft a response from your spoken instruction. You should still check names, dates and meaning.

Can I send a message without touching the screen?

Moogoose does not provide complete hands-free device control. Activating controls and sending may require Android tools such as Voice Access, depending on your setup and the other app.

What if the read-aloud draft contains a mistake?

Ask Moogoose to change it, edit it with your preferred accessibility tools or discard it. Nothing is sent automatically.

Will it work in every messaging app with a screen reader?

That cannot be guaranteed. Moogoose uses supported Android text fields, while the other app controls navigation and sending. Test the apps and screen reader configuration you rely on.
